WELCOME TO THE OLD BOOKHAM CHURCH

The Old Bookham Church, formerly St Columba's Catholic Church, has been lovingly renovated by descendants of the Julians, one of the families who helped build the church in the early 1900's. As well as being admired for its greenstone exterior, it is known for the magnificent stained glass window now gracing the kitchen (previously the altar). This exquisite window was a gift from Ellen Julian in memory of her husband.  She commissioned and shipped it from Europe.

The Old Bookham Church, pet-friendly accommodation, offers two comfortable bedrooms sleeping two people each, plus two double sofa beds in the lounge area. With a full kitchen and laundry, it's perfect for either a stopover or a destination. With a fenced garden, this heritage accommodation is also great for your pets to enjoy.

Because the closest restaurants are at least 20 minutes away, we offer oven-ready meals delivered to your fridge,

as long as we have 24 hours notice.

The Old Bookham Church is conveniently located close to the Hume Highway.
For those who are sensitive to traffic noise, we provide earplugs.

We wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Ngunnawal people. We wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this region.

GUEST REVIEW

Talking Marks

Highly recommended for a weekend away. We had a fabulous time  in this gorgeous old stone church with our sweet four-legged Max, who had an equally great holiday! The kitchen had every mod con, and we had great coffee and breakfast across the road at Barney’s Cafe. We even had a BBQ in the fully-fenced dog-friendly garden one evening. A huge thank you to our fabulous hosts, Marguerite and Tess - your Church is indeed very special, and we can’t wait to visit again. Lots to do - walking, cycling and driving around the area and other local towns.
